Manager Willie Randolph said he called this afternoon’s team meeting. Randolph said he was “disappointed” in how his 20-19 Mets were playing. GM Omar Minaya said the same thing and when asked whether the manager’s job was in jeopardy, said: “No.”

Carlos Delgado and David Wright said there was no division in the clubhouse. And, Billy Wagner made it clear he was not singling out Delgado.
Delgado said the meeting was beneficial, “because things needed to be addressed sooner than later.”
Of course, it all boils down to playing, and that begins tonight.
