Baseball is the only sport dependent on the weather(except for auto racing and NASCAR fans in California had to wait 6 hours before the race was postponed)? Hockey and Basketball are played indoors so you know it will be played. Football is almost always played despite what the weather is outside. I put nothing past the Steinbrenner family (or any other sports owner) in milking the fans. But how would you handle it? Have some public official determine before game time? Offer partial refunds if it is rain shortened for people with parking lot receipts? Short of requiring every stadium to be a dome this is always going to happen.
