We’ve talked about booing a lot lately on this blog. If they play, and stink tonight, there will be more.

Manager Willie Randolph said he believes the crowds at Shea have had a rough time getting past last season’s collapse.
“When we start to play well, then you’ll see a change,” Randolph said. “For me, as far as my players, we don’t talk about it. We don’t concern ourselves with it. Guys are trying to win ballgames, and that’s really where their heart and soul is.”

am I the only one whos kind of rooting for them to lose just so willie can be fired? I want them to the win the world series but I feel that if willie is the manager and they win the world series he’d get unfair fanfare for them winning it, it wouldmnt feel right
Bob : yes u r the only one.
I dont want them to lose. I am not sure firing willie is the answer.
And I never ever boo my team.
steve – I guess saying rooting for was a bad word there. Since in every game I get extremely pissed off when they lose but when they win i feel slightly happy, Its kind of like I expect them to win but when they lose its bad. take back my first comment, its just yes i do want them to win the WS
Willie needs to SHUT UP already. We got the point.
John, are they seriously thinking that there will be a window to play this game?
Bob: understood. its being a met fan. you get pissed they lose happy they win and exasperated that they can play well all the time. :-)
Caryn, when the press prints the same quote from Willie five days in a row, the problem is not him needing to shut up.
I never boo the Mets, I boo tho opposition. I have the Saturday plan and a Friday pak. I am around Shea a lot. The boos get noticed, but from where I sit true MET fans want wins. I may get aggravated during a particular game, BUT I WILL NOT BOO. It accomplishes nada.
