Starting pitching claimed to be the long suit of this team by many, is anything but. Maine is trying to be a solid # 2 but still hasn't found that consistency to be one. Perez is fragile and like I said early on when the brainless one blasted him for going 5.2 scoreless innings, what do you do when he goes bad? You gotta know who you can blast and who you have to hug, and they blasted the wrong guy and its going to hurt. The pen isn't as bad as everyone claims. They are eing overmanaged in every closes game because its ovbvious they can't give up a run because the offense is just bad. And finally, Luis Castillo has to be moved out the 8 hole. And I'm not going to blame Church (much to scoopcoop's chagrin I'm sure). But he has been made totally useless there. His best tool, the bunt, is gone, he won't be walked because his hits are so short he can only cost you one run ever, he is the worst suited # 8 guy around. And why were people blasting Willie last night? He did a double steal with Alou!!!!! He pitched a releiver for 2 good innings.
