well, I had predicted a sweep by Atlanta but the Mets got a gift when Chiper Jones hurt himself putting his uniform on yesterday. I would be shocked as hell if the mets beat atlanta today, Smoltz against figueroa. I see Atlanta blowing the Mets away something like 7-1.
I don't see Smoltz pitching well today. The dude has a .78 ERA, and he's due for a bad start. I see the Mets winning 7-4… Of course, it could go like the 9-6 game from last year…
Figgy has pitched well this season. He plays with purpose; he knows that if he stumbles his job will be in jeopardy. The offense and defense need to be there for him.
Wish we could bring back Shawn Green when we face Smoltz.
