Schneider update

April
24

No word yet on Brian Schneider, but it looks as if he won’t go on the DL.

Brady Clark was pulled off the field before BP. This is speculation on my part, but I think they will DFA Clark to make room for back-up catcher Gustavo Molina.

This way they can keep Schneider around in case his infected left thumb heals inside of two weeks.

This allows them to option Molina when Moises Alou is ready to come off the DL.

“If Schneider doesn’t have to go on the DL, you can can DFA Clark for Molina and then send down Molina when Schneider is ready to go in favor of Alou.”

that is somebody’s comment on the previous post.
    weird.

The issue is what happens when Alou is ready to come back before Schneider, should that be the case.

If Schneider doesn’t go on the DL, how many games is he expected to miss??
