I read somewhere that after the Braves made their late year trades they became favorites to win last year. They did not, but the talent is still there.

They have a good team. A stiff battle is always good to have. It makes you tougher which with this team is a good thing. As many said here last year they did a lot of sleeping is 07.

Let's hope they go in with a little purpose for this series. Last year, in the first series, the Metsies lost two of three and they should have swept the Braves. They had leads in all three games but blew them. That Saturday game they committed 2 or 3 errors and the Sunday game the bats went silent and made Kyle Davies look like a Cy Young candidate and Heilman ended up blowing the game in the 8th. You could see their complacency that early last season.

Let's see if they have that killer instinct they really lacked last season. Even if they lose a game or two, I just want them play with purpose and energy and focus. I want to see them fight in this series...

That's Willie he has his finger on his teams pulse.

What's the over/under on how many times Willie uses the word "battled" this weekend I'll set the number at 7

Willie said: "The Mets have always measured themselves against the Atlanta Braves, and manager Willie Randolph said it’s no different this year"

Maybe someone should remind him that the Phillies finished first last yeaer, not the Braves and not the Mets.....

Why are they making a big deal of this series? If they have a bad weekend what are they going to do about it? Nothing.

Mike;

The link to your blog does not work; is it http://metsmagicteam.com? I hope that is not you at http://metsmagicteam.blogspot.com; if so, you should work on your English before actually telling people to visit your web site. No offense. Really. But it is bad. I like the format though.

How do you like my blog?
