News was positive last night about Orlando Hernandez. I see them holding a pat hand with their pitching, but they should go for it somebody is available.
John Maine tonight. Mike Pelfrey and Johan Santana. They have a chance to keep a positive roll heading into the opener.
But, let’s not get crazy if they don’t. A long way to go.

Mets will see 3 tough pitchers this weekend, and will throw 2 of their own. They don't need to sweep, or even take 2 of 3, but they can't get swept.
JM, I completely agree with you. The Mets can not get swept.
What's the Atlanta rotation for the weekend? I know it's Glavine on Saturday, but can't remember if Smoltz is today or Sunday.
Listen to this. Maybe I am pulling a Mel Gibson in conspiracy theory here, but bear with me for a moment.
I had Kelly Johnson as my 2B on one of my fantasy teams, so I've been tracking him this spring. This week it came out that he has been nursing a sore knee since LAST SPRING TRAINING. Suddenly their signing Gotay makes more sense.

The Mets will be the ones doing the sweeping.
Someone mentioned that if they push Santana to Sat then he lines up to hit the Phils twice, else he misses them.
Why dont they put him in Sat on his fifth day?
Keith: I thought that was interesting about Johnson, but Gotay being quoted that he felt Willie was the reason he was not on the team and that he would not go out of the way to talk to Willie was just as interesting.
Everyone should read the story. I wonder if Gotay was misquoted.
dave: You have a good point, but if they started him on a certain routine to get ready with an extra day of rest why mess around in April….?
I am not saying do it, but with Pedro out and with April the usual mess with rotations why not set yourself up to kill your competition?
