What could they be talking about?

After six weeks, the Mets are having a team meeting. Willie Randolph said he won’t go overboard talking about the end of last year.
You know, about the collapse.
Watching the Marlins take BP. Rained this morning, but sunny now. It’s Florida. It will rain again.

Apparently, there's good weather down there compared to places in the North – Chicago, New York, Philadelphia.
Add Cincinnati to that list.
FWIW, Santana has gotten rocked his past two opening days. Baltimore crushed him last year. So no one panic if the guy doesn't do well today, ok???
Is Willie promising the team that he will suicide squeeze with Luis Castillo up and Jose Reyes on 3rd with less than 2 out?
if Santana gets rocked today, I expect many fans to freak out and declare the season over and call for Omar to be fired.
Why wait?
Fire Willie and Omar NOW!!
I believe there are 13 teams w/domes or that are in the southern part of the country. You could get almost ever team in a better weather situation for the first couple of weeks.
Why they don't try and make the schedule so that more games are played in better weather places has never made sense to me.
you're right dave, we're already out of 1st place in the division, FIRE WILLIE!!! he can't even get this talented bunch into 1st place!
My barometer for the Mets is how quickly they get to 10 games over .500. To me that is the first milestone of a sucessful season. Then 15 over, 20 over, etc. I expect the offense to get off a little slowly, but the pitching should carry them through the first part of the season. The offense will really kick in when Alou gets back. That's when the divisional rout will begin.
To MetsFan: Unfortunately, you're probably right.-JD
