On Tap Today: Pedro reunites with fan

It was the spring of 1992 when Pedro Martinez posed for a picture with a 15-year-old high school baseball catcher.

“See, this shows that you have to be nice to people,’’ Martinez said. “If I hadn’t taken the picture he might hate me today. Now, he’s my catcher.’’

Sure enough, that was Brian Schneider posing with Martinez in Vero Beach.

Martinez will throw this morning in a minor league game in his final spring tune-up.
