It’s 2-0 Cardinals and we’re six batters into the game. Runners on the corners. One out. He’s already throw 24, oops, make that 25 pitches.
I will be curious how he does in the innings after the first, assuming he can get there. He had some absolutely awful first innings last year, only to be followed by a run of many shutout innings after that.
All I can say is he is throwing batting practice, the mets are kidding themselves if they think this is going to work.
