Some more lovely springtime ERA numbers:
Zito 10.31
Bucholz 9.35
Lester 6.00
Hughes 7.71
Wang 8.44
Bedard 9.50
Silva 9.20
Patience is a virtue, even with Pelfrey. It will eventually pay off.
Man, can you imagine sky-is-falling rhetoric that would be spilled if Santana now had a double-digit ERA? Sometimes I envy small-market team fans, they never get to sign Beltrans or trade for Santanas, but at least they don't have to live with media creating non-stop paranoia.
Pelfrey will be good… eventually.
But eventually is sometimes further away than we'd like.
Glad we didn't back up the truck for Zito.
