Spring record: 16-8-1

Game breakdown: Oliver Perez gave up five runs on seven hits in five innings. He struck out six and four of the hits were homers. … Brian Schneider, playing in his fourth game of the season, went 0-for-2. … Carlos Beltran homered.

Clubhouse chatter: Winter Haven is not a pretty town. Not a “haven” by any stretch. This is the Indians’ last spring here, as they will move to Arizona next year.

Tomorrow: St. Louis at Port St. Lucie, Fla., 1:10 p.m.
