PODCAST: Pedro sharp in first start

Pedro Martinez was sharp in his first exhibition start of the spring, giving up four hits in four scoreless innings. Martinez made only five starts last year after shoulder surgery and has been taking it slowly in camp.
Martinez said his change-up was good, but his curve is a little off. That’s not unusual because that’s always his last pitch to come along.

It was a good outing. Tough lineup. I thought he got some bad calls and he worked out of it.
