    Opening Day lineup?

  2. Dave in DC

For a team that's had a bad history of OF collisions, I think putting both Endy and Beltran in CF could create problems! Is Beltran DH today?

  3. Andrew V.

    Yeah, Beltran is DHing.

Let's hear it for Met management. Play a guy with a bad hammy and he makes it worse!!!! What an organization….

Flipped to Met/Astro game after Pedro left. Sosa 2 innings, ball is moving really well….. Looks much sharper than i saw last year.

Wow sloppy! A positive comment about a Met player!!!

slop, If Castro didn't play you'd be complaining that more Mets are hurt and that they are not properly conditioned.

There is nothing this team can do right?

scooppoop: What I am and what you don't and never will understand is that I have the ability to root for a team and keep a realistic and discerning eye open at the same time. You are just a mindless little brain dead entity that thinks that whatever you're told must be. You have no mindpower to be a discerning fan, and therefore you will never know what is best about baseball or anything else. I'd go on but an entity such as yourself can't comprehend anything but blind loyalty. Just remeber one thing. you aren't smart enough to even have a clue what transpires in my mind or the mind of any person with a real brain…..

It is not a question of being blind. But would it be so bad to state a positive once in awhile? You guys point out every negative and never comment on a positive. Even when you do, you turn it sour.

Mets are flawed, no doubt. But they also have good SP (maybe better than anyone if Pedro is healthy) and a decent BP.

There hitting is suspect, but it was last yr too and they still score the 4th most runs. Unless Delgado stinks, Alou is gone forever and Chucrh and scheinder do what you beleive they will do, the Mets will score 800 runs or so. That should be enough.

They won't win 100 and wrap up the division on Sept 9th, but they will win 90-93 games and be in the playoffs with Santana and Pedro.

Can you recognize that as even a remote posssibility?

slop, i have to agree with scoop here. It seems to be your eye is a bit too discerning at times. So much so that you lose your objectivity in your quest to be a smart fan as opposed to a loyal one.
