On John Maine: “John came down here in great shape. He’s really feeling it. I can see the progress.’’
On Carlos Beltran: “It was good for him to get out there again. He’ll let me know (about Saturday).’’
NOTES:Â Orlando Hernandez will throw a simulated game on Tuesday. … Damion Easley has not played shortstop this spring, but Randolph said he could see some time there. … Randolph said Aaron Heilman has been throwing the ball well (two hits in five scoreless innings).

Things are starting to look up in mets land, good to see. I noticed also the mets have given up the least amount of runs in spring training, keep it up boys in the regular season, pitching wins.
