Ronnie also mentioned that today. That is how the manager played, did all the little things right.
...its also the way to be sent to AAA as soon as Alou is healthy. Talk is cheap!
If anyone had doubts if pagan is on team, this should lessen them (assuming he doesn’t go 0-25 over the next 3 weeks).
More quotes from Willie on Pagan
“The way he plays, yeah, that’s how you do it. That’s a perfect example of how you get a hit like that. That’s why I love this kid. He hustles, plays hard, he’s one of our better athletes on the team and we all can learn from that, all the players.
“And hey, that’s how you make the ballclub, for me, with those kinds of things. Little things like that jump right at me every time … He’s making a strong bid for it, that’s for sure.â€
no way Nate, they’re going to start him over Beltran I heard! c’mon, be serious, of course Alou would play over him, Alou is a far superior player when healthy. When not, its nice to have Pagan around
With Endy’s health and Clark’s defense both in great question, it looks more and more like we’ve got Angel Pagan starting in left field on opening day.
Here’s hoping that he’s one of those rare cases where ST numbers mean something for regular season numbers, I s’pose.
