You’re not as close to the action from this view, but the slope behind the right field wall is a great place to watch a game from Tradition Field. Bring a blanket and take in the sun. Spring training stadiums have their different charms, and this is a big one here.

    John – Funny you should mention that. Ron Darling brought up that area when remembering the 80’s and that was the area where all the running was done. However, it was also where the alligators lived and Rusty Staub was so scared of them he used to bring a broken bat with him when he ran.

    I saw plenty of alligators on the golf courses when I lived in Florida – however, I was usually in a cart and could get away from them – those gators look sleepy, but they really can move.
