Just got here. The Mets are still on the road. The forecast is for rain. We asked Omar this morning if that meant Pedro wasn’t making the trip, but he’ll be here.
Jose Reyes and David Wright are coming. None of the other regulars.
Moises Alou is out of surgery. Had a nice talk with Angel Pagan this morning, and no, this wasn’t the first time I’ve spoken with him. He told me he used to box when he was a teenager and keeps in shape with a speed bag.

So now we know who the go to guy is in case of a bench clearing brawl with the Phillies.
From Meredith Viera?
I think that Angel Pagan is the best part of ST so far – will you write about him for tomorrow’s paper? I’d like to know more about him.
“The back-up centrefielder who can’t seem to actually field centrefield is hitting really well in spring training!”
“The back-up firstbaseman and first pinch-hitter off the bench are healthy enough to play in an exhibition game!”
“Look, some of the injured guys aren’t actually injured, they’re just recovering from surgery which isn’t technically an injury!”
Yikes. When we have to stretch for good news like this…
