This time on Anderson Hernandez’s RBI single, his third hit of the day. … Fernando Martinez had two hits. … Olmedo Saenz played for the first time this spring. … Rule 5 pitcher Steven Register continued to impress with two scoreless innings.
Clubhouse chatter: “It would be nice if we could get some people healthy,” said David Wright. Of the Mets’ projected Opening Day roster, only Wright and Jose Reyes are considered healthy.
