Pelfrey sharp

Another strong outing by Mike Pelfrey. Two hits in three scoreless innings. Eventually they’ll be forced to make the decision to DL Orlando Hernandez and move on. All this simulated throwing is really another way of saying he’s not there.

The only negative I could see was that Pelf was up against a number of non-MLB who showed little patience at the plate. That being said, he looked sharp.
El Duque might be collecting that 6MM sitting around PSL most of the yr.
Here is a good laugh for the day, Chris Russo proposed the Mets trade Pelfrey to the Pirates for Xavier Nady.
Either Russo really has no clue about baseball or really hates the Mets.
Wow, that is a crazy trade proposal.
Personally, I would rather go with a Marlon Anderson/Abreu platoon (if Delgado went down for any length of time) than trade Pelfrey. I think a rotation of Johan, Pedro, Ollie, Maine, and Pelfrey could be pretty darn ridiculous this season.
Russo (aka puppy dog) hates the Mets. Mets won’t give up on Pelfrey yet and they shouldn’t. If he can just get his fastball in his spots, his changeup and slider do not have to be great for him to get ML out.
You can’t trade Pelfrey. He’s about the only MLB ready starting pitching depth we have. That aside, it’s still and really stupid idea. Those two idiots just love to throw gas ont he fire. Let’s wait until the end of spring training or even into the first 4-6 weeks of the season to see exactly what we have before making trades based on irrational fear on March 3rd. There is tons of time before the season starts.
who the hell is ruso?
