    could have been alot worse.

Via Metsblog: “Church was diagnosed with a concussion and is out two weeks, according to Marty Noble and MLB.com.”

Man, what a crazy start to camp. No wonder we can’t bring the required number of regulars on our road trips, the only ones healthy are Wright, Reyes, Schneider, and Alou.

speaking of Scheinder, has he played?

All I can say is I’m hoping that the Mets get all this bad Karma out of the way now so the regular season will be fine for the most part.

    Scneider caught Maine…...

Keith: Metsblog.com is wrong. Church will play when the symptoms clear. There is no timeframe.-JD

JD, I saw it on Metsblog, but they linked to an article by Marty Noble on mlb.com.

PS: Didn’t mean for that to come across as confrontational, JD. I just wanted you to know that I wasn’t posting info willy nilly. Thanks for the updated info.

I’m sure that JD is right since concussions aren’t tied to timeframes anymore.
The Delgado injury sounds like he’s not going to be very good again. Its hard to swing the bat with a bad hip problem that isn’t going away because we can’t find the fountain of youth.

That’s why I posted my “ps.” I’m sure JD is right, but I noticed the earlier post on Metsblog so I figured I would pass it along.

Metsblog: It used to be a good place to go for information, but now 75% of their subjects are merely a plug for SNY. Its become a crummy place to go. Might as well just be an SNY dot whatever subset.

  12. scoopcoop

Metsblog is good b/c they do the searching for info. But there are too many people who post (for me) who get way too emotional about every little issue w/the team.

  13. sloppy

Scoop. I think you are talking about the old metsblog. Their searching now is usually a text message from Kevin Burkhart…....or some other SNY guy. Unlike Delcos, they NEVER have a different opinion than the official Mets line….
