Willie in the Afternoon

February
29

Highlights from Willie Randolph’s postgame press conference this afternoon:

-ON JOHAN SANTANA: “I thought he threw the ball well. His stuff was crisp. The first time out I don’t think a whole lot about (the results).”

-ON DUANER SANCHEZ: “He’s still trying to feel his way (back).”

-ON ORLANDO HERNANDEZ: “He’s a little stiff. He needs work to get the kinks out.”

The 'kinks' are nothing but the fact the he's 47yrs old (estimated).

I will give el duque the benefit of the doubt, regardless of age, and hope he can contribute out of the pen. He may not like going there, but he is not about to walk away from the money. If Pelfry shows his stuff he deserves to be #5. He is the future, not el duque.

Mets Poll
The perjury charges are adding up for Barry Bonds. Barring a miracle, all indications are he used steroids. Assuming this plays out where he's guilty, I believe Selig should place an asterisk to Bonds' HR totals. Agree or disagree?
