I asked JD how hard he was throwing last week but i didn't get an answer. His fastball yesterday did not look good at all. I remember sanchez throwing in the mid nineties back in 2006 before he got injured. As for El Duke, I agree, let this guy go and sign Lohse, he has failed the mets the past two seasons when we needed him the most, enough of El Duke, sign Lohse before the phillies sign him. I think the Mets should RELEASE Orlando Hernandez. He's too much a concern, and you can never count on him. Then I'd sign KYLE LOHSE to a 1 year deal. I was one of the people who were really against getting Lohse earlier in the off-season, but for a one year deal and as a #5 starter you can't go wrong. He's consistant and durable, and that's what you need from your #5 starter. I'm not trying to say he's amazing, but he's a fly ball pitcher, and his numbers would probably improve a bit pitching at Shea. Just because a pitcher pitches good for a short period of time doesn't mean he's done developing, and should be at the big level. Mike Pelfrey should spend the entire year in AAA and then take over for Lohse in 2009.
