Just seeing a lineup and knowing that baseball is being played makes me happy.
Only 27 days until the A's and Red Sox open the season up in Japan.
Benny: Kind of makes you warm and fuzzy doesn't it that the start of the season opens some 7,000 miles away.-JD
Makes me warm and fuzzy that it's not our team going to Japan, remember how bad the Yankees played when they first got back from Japan a few years ago?
I never want to see the Mets go back there unless it's that MLB All Star tour after the season.
Yes, this is a good lineup – a more representative lineup of our team, even if Castillo and Beltran aren't playing and Maine's first game since his almost-no-no. Also, hi there to Benny!
Mets went to Japan in 2000 and what a bad result…. They went to the World Series…. Giants went to London in 2007 to play a regular season and what a reult… They won Super Bowl. something wrong with that??
In the end going to Japan did not have a negative effect but it did cause the 2000 team to get off to a slow start.
Plus, let the other 29 teams do some promotion for BB. mets seem more often than not to get wrapped up in that stuff.
Mets were 13-7 at end of April 2000. If that's a bad start you are a very demanding person Sir.
Man those Yankees suffered all the way to the ALCS in 2004 when they began the season in Japan.
