Sad day: Myron Cope dies

February
27

Very sad to learn Myron Cope died. I covered the NFL for awhile and he befriended me. Always made me feel welcome when I got to Pittsburgh. And, there was no one funnier to sit down and share a beer with.

I truly nice man.

I’m a Steelers fan so I was very sorry to hear this. He was a true original. I think I’ll go wave my Terrible Towel around a bit.

Laast night at the Pitt basketball game, thousands of fans brought their Terrible towels to honor Cope. The best tributes are those that are not planned nor directed. A good guy left us for sure.
