Duaner today was a huge success, always great to see a guy get back on the mound and compete after a bad injury. Good to see him really turn it around too, with the attitude change, the new commitment, it all sounds good from what I've read, hopefully he keeps it going. A great baseball story if it works out well for him, I'm hoping it does, for the Mets and him.
So there's your positive look John, maybe we should be freaked by Santana giving up a HR to a nobody the other day? At this point, results mean extremely little, even for Sanchez John, and the fact his pitches were going well for him today is huge, if he can throw his curve and change well, his shoulder must be feeling good. The velocity will come, most all pitchers are down right now, and after more then a year not throwing, he should be behind even the norm. I'd expect him to add 5mph.

John,

Nice to see you doing these again. You have a great blog.

What's your opinion on Gotay? I'm really hoping this kid succeeds, but, what do you think his ceiling actually is right now? Is he someone we could eventually trade to replenish the farm (or at least start to)?
