Over in the Washington camp, Lastings Milledge seems to have a case of selective memory.
“If I had to do it all over again, I’d do it the same way that I did it,’’ Milledge said about how he wouldn’t change anything about his stay in New York. “I have no regrets for the way I played the game or anything.’’
Milledge had all sorts of problems with the Mets in 2006. Not hustling, showing up late, high-fiving the fans after hitting a homer. He was a completely different personality last year. He said he cut his hair as to not draw attention to himself. He was far more personable last season.
The fact is, Milledge did change. Last spring he said it “was time for me to man up.’‘
