Injury updates

Damion Easley and Jose Valentin are in camp.

Easley has been rehabbing torn ligaments in his left knee. He said he’ll take it slow at first, but said he has no doubts about being ready for spring training.

Valentin, recovering from a knee injury, signed a minor league contract and said he’s prepared to open the season at Triple-A New Orleans.

“I’ll go down there,’’ he said. “I just don’t them to forget me.’‘
