Regarding the extension, it’s up to the Twins. If the Mets need more time they can ask for it. This isn’t a MLB deadline, it’s something between the Mets and Twins. If the Twins want to give them more time, it’s up to them.
It will get done because all three parties have too much to lose if it doesn’t.
