After all he is not a one man gang and as far as trading for Santana I am sure he knows what he will and will not give up for the guy. Also part of the GM's role is PR. I imagine that much of the grunt work is handled by assistants anyway. And with modern technology, Omar will just be a conference call away! In any case, hopefully this does resolve itself in the next week. And I would be willing to bet that no matter what, Minn will circle back to the other 2 teams to beat any offer. Unless all 3 teams stand fast and say you got our best, take it or leave it, Smith will likely still try to play them off each other.
