John,

Was that $6 billion revenue or profit?

Do you know the difference?

What time period does it cover?

Did you take the time to think things through before you made that post? I'm not trying to be too critical but, please, don't underestimate the fact that we expect more from you. It comes with your job.

Dave,

You nailed it.

The Mitchell report is a joke -- as was the entire "investigation". But it has certainly distracted the press and more than a few fans.

And, of course, it's obvious as to why Fehr didn't get an advance copy -- Selig didn't think it was worth reading himself.

Selig's legacy is very clear.

He presided over making the owners very rich. He presided over a period where the integrity of the game was steamrolled.

He does not care about the game. He does not care about fairness. He cares about making money for himself and the other rich boys in the owners' club.

This report is an elaborate ruse to allow all of us to debate its fairness, who is in it, what it proves. It proves that drug use for the purpose of cheating is fairly widespread. It encompasses hitters and pitchers. Stars and bench players.

He can say look at all the money we spent. We are good. We care. We have solved the problem. Now we can go back to making money for the owners and if the players have to make money for me to make money I guess that is ok too.
