But the "integrity of the game" is really Selig's code for "profits for the owners". Only a collection of 30 scumbags would have this guy as their chief boot-licking lackey. Not that the players should be let off the hook, by the way. But scumbags working for scumbags is nothing to get overly excited about. If he really meant that he would not have waited till congress almost took away baseball's legal protection as a monopoly and have them threaten several times to take over.
