The Mets lost Shawn Green, not Aaron Rowand—Lidge doesn’t offset that.

Remember, the Mets lost the division, the Phils didn’t win it.
He’s right. And we have been saying this since the season ended.
Make fun of him, but he improved his pen more than we did and he trusts his kids to replace Rowand which Omar doesn’t do. And he has Meyers back in the rotation so he’s improved that more than we did and he has a kid who’s just about an ace already which we don’t.
mostlym, Charlie is a dope. I live right outside Philly (on the Jersey side) and most fans hated him for years, and he was often about to be fired.
basically, the Mets gift wrap of the division saved his job. If the Mets one and the Phils missed the playoffs, CHarlie would have been canned.
Fine, the Phils added Lidge. But which one will they get? They also lost Rowand, and it remains to be seen who will replace him (in RF, they moved Victorino over to center).
3/5 of their rotation still stinks, as does most of the BP.
They do have a nice stadium though! Great sausage and peppers.
stick,,, they have a flag which says 2007. we have a big choke sign that made them forget 1964. they don’t know which lidge they got, but we do know what stokes we got. they can replace rowand with anybody because anybody can hit in that band box and vctorino will make them forget rowand on the field. we got a church who will never make anybody forget anyone ecept maybe green. and we commited the ultimate sin. we traded one of our kids inside the division. even the marlins wouldn’t do that.
