Greetings from Nashville …

Hello from the Opryland Hotel … which is really a small city under glass. Five main lobbies connected by a maze of hallways. A perfect place for the agents and GMs to hide.
Kaz Matsui is now an Astro. That’s the big move so for. But, there’s a lot of Santana buzz. It’s Boston and the Yankees. Sorry, the Mets aren’t a player here.
On GM says he enjoys watching the Yankees and Red Sox fall over each other. Ellsbury is now in, but Lester is out. This is in response to the Yankees agreeing to Hughes.
The Mets, meanwhile, don’t have those kind of chips.

I’ve been a mets fan and baseball fan since 1967 and I am getting to the point where I am losing interest in baseball. Why? Because baseball is the only sport that doesn’t have a cap and it’s turned into a who can get the best players each year, The Yankees or the Redsox, it’s a joke. Someone please tell me how the Yankees all of a sudden have these studs in there farm system when baseball analyst said the Yankees farm system was depleted. The yankees seem to always have good prospects and the same could be said about boston. Mean while the Mets never get in the playoffs and yet there farm system stinks. I’ve just about had it, great league where it is the yankees and the red sox every year battling to win the world series.
Uhhh, it’s the abilty to have competent scouts and the to be able to ahve th estones to tell the commsioners office to stay out of your business (see the Pedro Beato non signing) and to use your minor league teams as classrooms and not to win short season penants (see Cyclones, Brooklyn) for player development.
Kranepool,
so basically what you are saying is the mets organization is clueless.
not clueless but lack of focus
well, call it want you want but as long as the wilpons are the owners the Mets will be the Muts.
could be worse M Donald Grant could be resucrected
‘Sorry, the Mets aren’t a player here.’
STFU already. Mets fans have had a rough week and year and we don’t need you rubbing salt in the wound.
‘The Mets, meanwhile, don’t have those kind of chips.’
I would take Milledge’s career over Ellsbury’s.
Up is down. Black is white. Perception, NY media stupidity and GM ignorance changes everything.
