The LoHud Mets Blog

All about the Mets

Thank you …

Posted by: John Delcos - Posted in Uncategorized on Nov 01, 2007

There must be close to a hundred registered blogs and websites pertaining to the Mets, and this one is ranked fourth in readership behind Mets.com, Wikipedia (the free on-line encyclopedia), and MetsBlog.com.

Thank you for your support and I’ll do my best to live up to that and keep improving the site.

That brings me to the problems we’ve been having. Trust me, the office is aware and working overtime on fixing in. I will re-post the Glavine item for your comments.

Sorry, we can’t blame this on the Yankees.

You do good work here so it’s not surprising you are so far up in the rankings. What source are you using to get the ranking information?

It is a pleasure to be able to go somewhere and discuss Mets related topics, especially during the last very trying season. Your topics and comments have been timely, and have spurred several agree to disagree sessions. The reason that your blog is so highly rated is that is well written and well deserved to be so.

I want to thank the little people, the ones hiding in their basements in their blue-and-orange Met underwear.

    John,

Its been a pleasure reading and posting on your site the last few months. Your blog is different because you actually can give us inside info on players that we know is legit. You allow a free discourse of ideas, and dont delete posts or ban people on a whim like some other mets sites.

Now that the hot stove is cooking, it should be more fun than the last month was.

    Benny,

I wore a mets shirt for the first time 2 days ago. I got a comment that I must have been out of clean clothes from a red sox fan I know. That would be a good poll question here: Who has worn any mets apparel since the infamous collapse of september?

  6. Stillsane

    Ray,

Excellent question. I wear my Mets jacket and did so soon after their collapse. I took the heat from my “Evil Empire” friends, but, only until their team hit the front nine!

    John,

Thanks for being such a valuable resource and friend to other bloggers. You are among the few mainstream journalists who ‘get it’ when it comes to integrating your access with the new media format.

Good luck in the future and keep up the great work!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again….

This is the best Mets blog out there. You always have the most relevant Mets news and I enjoy your points of views too. I visit this blog 2-3 times a day religiously. I also enjoyed your game chats this year. Thank you for all that you do. YOU ARE THE BEST IN MY BOOK!!!

    To Ray Sadecki:

Its football season. You should be wearing your G-Men clothes, or if you you haven’t given up on them, your Jets clothes. Mets cothes come out when the football teams are done.
