We are less than an hour before first pitch and the lines aren’t long at the concession stands. Actually, this place is pretty dead. For a team in a pennant race, I would expect more.
John any rain at Shea it’s raining over here in Pelham.

My opinion is that met fans know there team and we have seen the hand writing on the wall since the Phils came in here and swept the Mets. It’s amazing that some people actually still think the mets have a chance. Yes, mathematically they do but if you have been watching this team since last weekend than you would know that this team is in trouble and the weight on there backs have gotten heavier and heavier. I posted a blog a few days ago i didn’t think this team would win another game this year and they haven’t yet. I think a lot of Met fans feel the same way. Shea has been dead all week. look at the Phillies stadium, packed like it was the world series and that town isn’t even a baseball town.
I totally agree with you Tommy. It really sucks that our support has waned in the last few days. Maybe all that will change this weekend.

another thing also, people are blaming willie and I read somebody wanted Joe torre. Joe torre managed the mets once, he is not a good manager, lets get real, anybody could mange the yankees with a 230 million dollar payroll which is basically an all star team. Also everybody is getting on reyes but he is just a kid, fans forget that, where is the character on this team, it should be coming from the vets but it isn’t.

Only Masochists pay money to have pain inflicted on them. Thats why Shea is empty.

SCOTT FROM PELHAM
Everybody just hang in for 3 more days. Then will either be in the postseason or meeting on the Whitestone Bridge (or the bridge closest to your home).

There was a caller in first hour of M&MD who said he was trying to organize 5,000 Mets fans to cheer the team as they came out for batting practice. I take it he fell about 4,995 short.

Doesn’t matter anymore. Biggest choke in baseball history is in 2007.
Was that Reggie Miller I saw in the stands? His hands grasping his throat…
Most fans can’t watch them collapse. I know my girlfriend doesn’t even watch them anymore and she is a HUGE mets fan. She had tickets for Thursday and decided not to go lol
