LETS END THE BS TONIGHT METS WIN 8-2 GUARANTEED A GAME IS PLAYED TONIGHT!
DG
Who’s the first reliever tonight?
ChiliGTC
if it rains, we are screwed….in fact if we get a rainout and any of these games and have to play a doubleheader, we are screwed. I pray Petey can go 7 solid tonight. That’s the only way I will feel comfortable. And if its 3-2 in the top of the 9th, I’m going freak!
DG: Take your pick: Muniz, Schoenweiss, Smith (they should let him go home already), Mota, Feliciano, El Duque?
Like I said, if we need someone use a bench player….ROFL
Tonight is the last night I will have the pleasure of listening to Gary, Ron and Keith. Tomorrow through Sunday, all the games I will get will have the Marlin’s “announcers”—who are at best TERRIBLE.
I’ll enjoy the call of the game and the intelligent and insightful commentary from Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez and then I’ll just watch the series with the Marlins with no sound.

If Marlon had not lost the appeal, he should pitch.
BTW, according to Glavine of WFAN yesterday, Marlon was one of the main guys behind having a team meeting. I never pictured him as a leader, but we’ll take anything, huh?

The playoffs start TONITE! IMO it is do or die. Yes, this team has flaws, but so does every team out there. I don’t think it’s a question of heart. I think each player is trying to win the game himself, creating that pressure with each guy, and collectively creating this problem. The pitchers are aiming, and the batters are grinding their bats. as Tom Selleck said in Mr. Baseball “Baseball’s a game, and games are supposed to be fun”. If each player remembers that there is someone else there to pick him up, and go out there loose and have fun, the score WILL take care of itself.
I know alot of you guys out there will beat me for this analysis. Some of you who have given up but have kept one eye open, just in case, will tell me I live in a dream world, or that I don’t know baseball, or that I’m just “blind to all their problems”. That’s fine…go ahead. I not only know baseball, but I also know that when things are getting tough, and even the perception that your back’s to the wall, the best thing you can do is step back, take a deep breath, and go back to the basics. There can be no greater pressure cooker than playing pro sports in NYC. It’s just time to get back to basics and have fun! The talent and the determination is there, it just needs to relax.
Oh Well…fire away..I’m a big boy.
By the way…win or lose, they are still MY Mets! I’ll NEVER kick ‘em to the curb ( well, not too hard anyway)especially after a good, granted not great, season where we still control our playoff destiny with only a handful left to play.
COME ON GUY’S AND GALS…RALLY CAPS!
LET’S GO METS!!!

I’ll say my goodbyes again until Monday, but I stand by my prediction earlier:
Mets win tonight, Phillies lose, Mets get to spray the Champagne on Saturday around 4:15 pm!

Any field players with pitching experience? Well it’s a thought! LOL

Talk to you all again Monday and Let’s Go Mets!
We ♥ the Mets!
Don….I agree! Well said!
Why is Green bating 8th? He is clutch. Bating around 300. I have more confidence in him then Lo Duca.
Green is batting 8th because Eandolph doesn’t want lefties batting back to back.
I think Lo Duca should pitch tonight if we have a 10-run lead.
