Better for the Mets to follow the lead of Eric Mangini and call in Teddy Atlas to give the Mets a talk about how to deliver a knockout punch. Clearly this team doesn’t know how to do it.

Muniz Gets the Call from Desperate Mets
With Billy Wagner’s back barking, the bullpen in disarray and the season on the verge of collapsing, the Mets will call up minor-league closer Carlos Muniz tonight, according to person familiar with the decision.
Muniz, 26, played collegiately at Long Beach State. He was 2-4 with a 2.45 ERA and 23 saves in 44 games at Double-A Binghamton, then moved to Triple-A on Aug. 29. He had been slated to represent the Mets in the Arizona Fall League.
I just checked my e-mail and I had gotten some promotional thing from the Mets about tickets, and a special in the Pepsi PICNIC area. I looked at it really quickly and thought it said the Pepsi PANIC area.
If it had I think I would have gotten tickets.
