Givin’ Conine a start is fine.
Batting him sixth, I’m a little iffy on.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Lasto out of the 8 hole and hitting behind Alou…I think Paulie with his plate discipline would be perfect in the 8 spot
Actually I was thinking that I’d switch Lasto and Lo Duca. True that Connine 6th is less than inspiring however.
Since Delgado went down the 6-8 spots have been (with the exception of the first Astro game) the dead zone. It hasn’t mattered who has played. They’ve all stepped down. The pitchers have stepped up big time, Otherwise we’d have lost 4 of the 5 Carlos has been out.

Right on JD: The bickering about who’s 6th or 8th is really about trying to make Willie look bad.
I would rather have the lineup as the manager made it. Conine is a professional hitter and LoDuca ain’t bad either. Milledge would do well to watch these guys who are ahead of him to see how they deal with the pitcher of the day.
As we know he has problems with the soft stuff as all young players do.
