That statement doesn’t sit right. They are cutting him off at 75, which really isn’t much. If the target for a healthy pitcher is 100 pitches, can we make the assumption 75 pitches is 75 percent? Do the Mets really need him to pitch today? What’s the harm in another week? This is a risk not worth taking.
