Why: Pelfrey over Humber

September
1

It’s the Mets’ story and they are sticking to it. Mike Pelfrey has more major league experience than Phil Humber, both in game preparation and being on the mound.

Although I understand that logic, I would have gone with Humber because he’s pitched better this year and sooner or later he’ll need to start. Why not now?

If they are concerned about Humber being overwhelmed, which I alluded to yesterday, then why not Pelfrey, too? It’s not like he’s been a security blanket for them.

    6 innings, 1 hit, 7 k’s….thats why…haha

I dont think anyone saw this one coming. You see why he was a number 1 draft pick a couple of years ago. and he is only 23!
