“I am happy announce that Pedro Martinez will take the ball for us in Cincinnati,” – Manager Willie Randolph.
Pedro hasn’t talked, yet.
There really wasn’t any doubt. The Mets wouldn’t have even suggested it if they didn’t think it would happen.

John does this mean that he starts Saturday at shea???
Kevin, they have an off day on Thurs, so my guess would be Sunday. But they have Duque day to day, so its hard to figure the rotation.
John, what does this do for Perez? Will they skip his turn or move him back a day? Willie said Duque wouldnt miss his start, which will be the day after Pedro, so no room for Perez.
Given that the rosters have expanded, do the Mets still have to make a roster move? I seem to remember him being moved to the 60-day DL to make room for someone…
YYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH, BAAAAAAAAAAABY!!!!!!!!
Stephan: yes, the Mets have a full 40 man roster, and both Pedro and Carlos Gomez were moved to the 40 man roster. This shouldnt be too much of a problem with Burgos, Valentin, and Easley all guy who could be moved to the 60 dat themselves.
whoops, thats moved to the 60 day DL.
