Pedro Martinez just finished his bullpen session. He threw 68 pitches over a 15-minute span without difficulty.
Martinez is currently in the trainer’s room and has not spoken with the media.
The Mets haven’t determined tomorrow’s starter against Atlanta, but it won’t be Martinez. He is expected to make his fifth rehab start Monday, perhaps at Single-A Brooklyn.

come on who are the mets fooling saying they still don’t know who is going to pitch.. they have to have the game plan for pelfrey/humber ready and I doubt one afternoon is going to help them, and they have already thrown their bullpen sessions with the Mets.
Don’t they have to announce Saturdays starter before the series starts?
Pedro in Brooklyn on Monday, huh?
I’ve never been to a Cyclones game – this might very well be worth the trip.
They don’t have to announce anything until they give the umps the lineup card.
SNY is reporting El Duque is in NY getting a cortisone shot for a foot injury.
Hi Prof Gil; What do you think I should do tonight. My Dad says this game could be the big one for the year. That means if the boys that count blow it again, all you guys will go nuts, so since my BF is still away should I go to the movies with some of my GFs or have them over and we can all watch the game and blog with you guys. What do you think??
Eddie Coleman on the FAN on the internet says PEDRO’S pitching MONDAY IN CINCY. They’ll decide tomorrow based on how he feels.
Now he says the Pelf is official for tomorrow. and El Duque has been hurt for a couple starts before yesterday.
I’m off to the Ted…. We need lots of luck stay positive….
Jess…: I’m not the Prof but I’d watch the game and keep the guys calm.
Dam we have to watch Peflrey pitch again, well at least pedro will pitch monday
cmon why no humber? im sick of pelfrey already
No Humber? Hope they have a good explanation for that one such as he’s still a little hurt by that ball that struck him. Otherwise, I don’t know why this guy doesn’t get a chance. He almost pitched a no-hitter. What more does he have to do to get a chance?
If it really is Pelfrey for Saturday, he better pitch decently.
Jess: what’s with the phrase “they boys that count”? I never heard that before….
To Jess: Still don’t know ``what counts’’ means, although I have my ideas. Personally, I thought we all ``counted.’’ To say somebody doesn’t count might be the worst thing you could say to somebody. ... You know, you can always go to the movies and watch the replay of the game. But, if you stay here all night with us that would be great, too.-JD
Thanks John…I knew it wasn’t just me.
By the way, did you eat anywhere good in Philly?
Art: Humber will be brought up. He just won’t pitch tomorrow.-JD
To JR: I had Italian and seafood for lunch. Didn’t get to go out after the games.-JD
i heard from metsblog collazo being called up. hes having a great yr in AAA. hopefully he could be of some use in september
Hi Mr Delcos:
We’ll go to the late movie cause one of the girls is running late, and we’ll watch a little bit.
The boys or girls that count mean they are the ones doing the work. In school the teachers are the boys and girls that count because they can flunk you. In court, the jury are the boys and girls that count because they decide, In baseball, the guys on the field are the boys that count because we are just watchers and can’t make them win. I guess the umps are really the boys that count huh? I’m sorry if you thought I was degrading some people, that’s not what I meant to do. You’re right, everyone counts, but it really counts when your doing your job, you know what I mean?? If you guys don’t like the term I’ll call them our boys or something. Would that be better??
You guys are ok, even when you go nuts!!!
Sarah’s gonna watch with me. She knows nothing about baseball, that’s less than me if you can believe that!!!!!!!
