Judging from the commercials on SportsSouth, there’s probably a Sonic near you!
Jeff: You can’t turn around without running into a Sonic or a KFC down here.-JD
Go to Chick-fil -a, not Sonic.
It’s slim pickings in the immediate downtown area. There’s a Benihana on the street level of the PTree Center at about 235 Peachtree Street if you like that. Sotto Sotto is a great Italian place in south Virginia Highlands less then 10 minutes away. Fritti right next door had good pizza..pies only. VAHighlands has many other good places. Vortex in Midtown has good bar food. MF Sushi on Ponce is supposed to be the best…i don’t eat it. A great hole in the hole burger joint, Ann’s on Memorial Drive…5 stars! Memorial runs Eest/West just north of the Ted. A little further down Memorial is SIx Feet Under…great seafood tacos. It’s right across the street from the famed Oaklad Cemetary.
I’ve been here 15 years, and while it’s not NY, good food can be found. Plus, there’s plenty of high end places if your per diem is willing.
Where are you staying that you see so many Sonic’s John? Sounds like you have a car. You should absolutely drive over to Ann’s tomorrow and get a burger before the game.
