He’ll go again Sunday, but where is not known yet. Bullpen coach Guy Conti said Martinez is fine physically, but isn’t satisfied with his change-up. It’s unlikely he will go from Single-A to the Mets.
-Jose Valentin showed up this afternoon. He’ll be re-examined on Aug. 30. If he’s given clearance he’ll try to come back this season. If not, he’ll opt for surgery. Valentin said he wants to play next year.
-There was no consideration given to sitting Delgado another day because of the wet turf.

Where would Jose rehab. The minor league season is wrapping up and he ain’t rehabing at 2nd with Castillo here and Gotay behind him.

Good Lord, Valentin is that knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. You cut off his legs and he claims its just a nick. You cut off his arms and he says it’s only a flesh wound.
I mean, like, I appreciate the stick-to-itiveness and all that but… shut it down for the season, Jose.
