alou cant play 7 days a week do you want him hurt again.Alou shouldnt really be playing 6 games a week.
Well, at least they replaced the power bat off the bench they lost when easley went down!
I would probably start Alou too, but in the long run, having 2 days off in a row might help keep him fresh, and will give Anderson some work.
But, what the heck is up with Delgado being out again? If he was hurt this bad, should have been put on the DL with the rest of the team!
Look for a big game from Lastigs today, other wise 5-9 in the order could be a giant wasteland.
Need a solid outing from El Duque, since this doesn’t look like the line up to put up 10 runs. Of course, every other time I said that they did, proving I don’t know much!
Worse than resting Alou is allowing Anderson to play in the outfield. He is even listed as an outfielder on the Mets active roster! What’s up with that! He has rarely played in the outfield during his career. Hasn’t he made enough costly mistakes the past few days to prove that he cannot play out there. They have some decent outfielders in Triple A who can play the position and are likely to hit at least as well as Anderson. Why not bring up Newhan or even Chad Hermansen or Chip Ambres? But Marlon Anderson???
