Mets in the Morning: Injury updates

-Ramon Castro will try to hit this afternoon. They’ve been lucky so far in getting away with one catcher. Even if Castro passes the hitting test, there’s no nees to rush him back because Mike DiFelice has played well.
-We’ll see how Carlos Delgado’s hyper-extended knee is. If he can’t play, then Shawn Green does to first and Lastings Milledge will play right.
-Endy Chavez, on the DL with a pulled left hammy, will play in his first rehab game this afternoon.

Hopefully Castro is OK to go, but they still decide to give him a few more days rest. As long as he is available as the back up catcher, no problem. If Defilice can keep hitting for a few more days, no need to rush Shrek back.
More worried about Delgado. Don't want him to miss much time. Even worse that he has started to hit, and would hate to see him fall back into a funk. Give him tonight off if he needs it, not that I want t see Green at first.
Time to put the screws on teams and run off a nice winning streak. Forget about the "hey, we won the 1st 2 and have the series, so let's take game 3 off" mentality. Every game is big right now.
