Another positive step today for Pedro Martinez this afternoon in his second rehab start.
Pitching for Single-A St. Lucie, Martinez threw 60 pitches in four innings against the Gulf Coast League Dodgers, then an additional 20 pitches in the bullpen.
Martinez retired the first 10 batters he faced.
The Mets haven’t said when Martinez will pitch above the Single-A level.

That sounds like great progress from his last start.
he started perfect the first 3 innings, i guess he got tired in the 4th where he let up all 3 runs..
mets say he can make as little as 1 more rehab start before being called up.. Wow
I think he'll make 2 more and come up for the Atlanta series
Pedro will make a nice #5 starter. To expect anything more is not realistic. He will definitely be better than what is there, especially with Sosa working so well out of the pen.
I went to Daytona to see Pedro pitch for St. Lucie against the Cubs, but he wasn't there. They said he doesn't go with the minor league teams when they travel. Awesome game, and the Mets won with 1B Nick Evans hitting two HR.
