-Ramon Castro said he’s better, but still hurting. Sandy Alomar Jr., is not here. The Mets say Castro can catch in an emergency. If he can’t then Damion Easley is the panic catcher.
-Duaner Sanchez isn’t even throwing off the mound yet. The next time we see him will probably be spring training. Amby Burgos is further along, but assistant GM Tony Bernazard isn’t guaranteeing he will pitch again this year.
-Bernazard said Endy Chavez could start playing in rehab games within a week.
-Paul Lo Duca’s MRI didn’t find any additional damage to his hamstring pull.

Burgos pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Pedro today. He last pitched for the GCL team on the 9th.
Does anyone care about Amby at this point?
Glad that Endy is finally making progress.
